About this Speaker
Dr Dan Jolley teaches aspiring personal trainers at South Metropolitan TAFE, in Perth, Western Australia. He has a BSc in exercise sciences, and an MSc in exercise physiology. His doctorate is in educational psychology, examining the knowledge, and critical thinking skills, of Australian fitness students and personal trainers.
Dan is a level 3 AusREP, and was one of the first personal trainers in Australia to complete Fitness Australia’s Accreditation program. He is a member of Fitness Australia’s Industry Standards Council, which develops and reviews standards and codes to improve safety, and service quality, in the fitness industry.
He is also a member of the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association, and has worked as a strength and conditioning coach for a number of teams, including the Perth Scorchers (WBBL), and in the semi-professional Western Australian Football League competition. He was the head of strength and conditioning for the Australian national gridiron team for two world championship campaigns, following a successful playing career.
